Bailey-Parks Urethane to Showcase Turnkey Solutions for Oil & Gas at OTC

Posted: Thu, Apr 24th 2014

Bailey-Parks Urethane will exhibit its products and turnkey capabilities for the oil and gas industry at booth 6009 at the 45th annual Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) this May 5–8 2014 at Reliant Center in Houston, Texas.

Representatives of Bailey-Parks will be on site to discuss the company’s history of engineering, manufacturing, finishing, and packaging custom-made polyurethane products for clients in the oil and gas industries, including hydrocyclones, pipe rollers and valve seats.

Bailey-Parks also creates commercial products for the fracking industry, such as its Sand Viper™ piping system, an abrasion-resistant polyurethane piping system designed to replace the short-lived aluminum pipes on trailers used to transport frac-sand.

Thanks to its wear-resistant qualities, urethane is an excellent material for the manufacture of critical components involved in fossil-fuel extraction and transport. Capable of being molded into custom shapes and sizes, polyurethane provides abundant possibilities for developing relatively inexpensive, complex parts that are more effective and more enduring than counterparts made out of aluminum, rubber or steel.

Founded in 1969, the Offshore Technology Conference is one of the world’s foremost events for professionals involved in the fields of drilling, exploration, production, and environmental protection. At OTC, approximately 80,000 people and 2,700 companies from over 120 countries meet to discuss the advancement of scientific and technical knowledge related to the development of offshore resources and environmental matters.
