Classifier Shoes

Diamondback® urethane classifier shoes (also called flight shoes, fan screw shoes and de-watering screws) protect metal surfaces and control many of the wear problems common to bulk aggregate handlers that turn and wash moving stone. Urethane classifier shoes offer many advantages over rubber, plastic and Ni-hard shoe alternatives, including:
- Wear and corrosion resistance
- Temperature stability
- Light weight
- Ease of installation
- Interchangeability
In applications involving extreme cutting abrasion, Diamondback® has been known to outwear even Ni-hard by a margin of 2.5:1. Additionally, Diamondback® conforms to variations in the flighting, particularly if the classifier shoes are bent. Diamondback® can also be fortified with ceramic beads for greater wear protection or with metal inserts to strengthen fastening.
